{"id":337,"date":"2021-01-21T04:02:23","date_gmt":"2021-01-21T04:02:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/allred10.com\/?p=337"},"modified":"2025-11-24T14:21:39","modified_gmt":"2025-11-24T14:21:39","slug":"confidence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/allred10.com\/?p=337","title":{"rendered":"Confidence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Self-confidence is one of the attributes that will help our kids to be successful in life.\u00a0 That does not mean that we encourage our kids to be cocky, precocious, or conceited.\u00a0 \u00a0We want them to know that they are of great worth but not to be arrogant.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">We can increase their confidence by allowing them to use their abilities whenever we can.\u00a0 This includes dressing themselves, doing dishes, mowing the lawn, etc.\u00a0 When our children became young adults both they and I noticed that I did not have all the answers anymore.\u00a0 They were more knowledgeable than I was in many areas.\u00a0 My sons are also more mechanical than I am.\u00a0 My daughters are very sensitive to the needs of others and have wonderful leadership skills.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">All of my children are much more technologically savvy than I am. \u00a0I have learned to rely on them to help me in all my weak areas.\u00a0 This helped me and built their confidence as they became successful adults. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">I know that there are some who feel worthless.\u00a0 I really don\u2019t know how to relate to that feeling since I felt loved and nurtured by my parents, extended family members and kind teachers and church members.
